Footballers come in all shapes and sizes.

Take Cristiano Ronaldo for example. The Portuguese superstar spends hours in the gym making his body look pretty incredible - and what an amazing physique he has.

But footballers don’t need to have super-muscular bodies to make a career for themselves.

Step forward Peter Crouch.

The 6 foot 7-inch striker barely has a muscle on his entire body but has still carved out a pretty decent career for himself.

Not only has Crouch succeeded at playing in the Premier League for years, he’s also one of football’s funny guys. He’s certainly one of the more entertaining figures in England whenever he gets a chance to express his humour.

And that humour has come to the fore this evening on social media at the expense of Ronaldo himself.

Southampton v Stoke City - Premier League

After the Madrid forward posted a rather bizarre topless picture on Twitter with his abs of steel on show and a large coat over his shoulders, Crouch thought that he would have a little bit of fun.

The Stoke City striker replied to the tweet saying: “Please retweet or fave if you would like me to recreate?”

At the time of writing, the tweet has 10,000 likes and 7,500 retweets - so it’s fair to say that plenty of people want to see Crouch topless.

It’s actually the second time Crouch has taken to Twitter to show off his comedic skills this week. After a follower criticised him for his performance on FIFA 17, he replied “At least I’m getting a game somewhere.”

Crouch is, of course, speaking about how he’s had to make do with a bit-part role for Mark Hughes’ side this season - although he did score a hat-trick earlier this season in the EFL Cup against Stevenage.

So, with very little football to play, it seems as though Crouch has taken to Twitter in his spare time to make a few people laugh. Keep up the good work, Crouchy.
