Manchester United were dealt a huge blow concerning full-back Antonio Valencia as they prepared to welcome Burnley to Old Trafford.
Prior to today's match, the Ecuadorian had played in all nine of United's Premier League games this campaign and firmly established himself as Jose Mourinho's first-choice right-back with some very good performances.
However, Valencia faces a spell on the sidelines after the club confirmed that he fractured his arm during the 1-0 victory over Manchester City on Wednesday night.

As a result, the 31-year-old will undergo surgery today in order to try and fix the problem and Italian international Matteo Darmian has been drafted in to make his first league appearance of the season.
Shortly before the visit of Burnley, Mourinho confirmed, via United's official website: "Antonio is having surgery today. He has a fracture in his arm.
He added: "The problem for us is having injuries all in the same area with (Eric) Bailly, Chris (Smalling) and Valencia. They were the three players that start almost every match in the Premier League and now we have lost all three in the same period."
As Jose said, given the recent injuries to Chris Smalling and most significantly summer signing Eric Bailly, most people would agree that Man Utd will be without three of their first-choice back four for their upcoming games.
United fans react
United supporters are certainly well aware of that and, once the club broke the news, many of them took to Twitter to react.
As you can see below, fans shared their opinion but also wished Antonio, who's spent seven years at the Theatre of Dreams, a speedy recovery:
