Tonight's Hell in a Cell PPV marked  several things; it was the second ever RAW exclusive PPV, it was the final stop before Survivor Series and it also held the first ever women's Hell in a Cell match.

Having already broken ground in many different ways before Sasha Banks and Charlotte stepped into the demonic structure tonight to try and settle their differences.

One woman left standing

By the end only one woman was destined to be left standing, but the match also started that way as the two fighters got off to a ferocious start.

While the cell was still descending around the ring, Charlotte would attack Banks and they would brawl all the way into the fans.

Eventually, their fight would see Sasha Banks powerbombed through the announce table and eventually put on a stretcher by the medical staff.

Just as the referee was preparing to proclaim Charlotte as the new Women's Champion, Banks sprung to life and demanded that he start the match.

The match itself got very physical between the two in a way never before seen in the WWE as tables and chairs were utilised.

The apparent injury suffered by Banks at the hands of the announce table however would constantly come into play as she often struggled to pull off the high strength moves.

Eventually, Charlotte was throwing the champion around like a rag doll and would hit Natural Selection to finish the match off.

Now a third time champion, Charlotte has earned about as much respect as has ever been possible for a female athlete.

As for Banks, she have had to taste the bitterness of defeat, but she can hold her head high for her achievement tonight.

Only time will now tell if the former champion is going to return to RAW immediately or if injuries - real or storyline, will keep her off of TV for a while.
