Brandon Jennings has just started his career with the New York Knicks after stalling for a couple of seasons in Detroit, and one would think the 27-year-old would be focused on rebuilding his name.
However, he seems more interested in Twitter right now and couldn't help but cause a bit of a storm yesterday.
Jennings, who serves as a backup to Derrick Rose at the point in the Big Apple, took a shot at L.A. Lakers guard D'Angelo Russell when a fan asked him about his potential.
While he starts off with a compliment, he quickly absolves that by referring back to Russell's unfortunate incident with teammate Nick Young last season and brands him a "snitch."
Jennings has since deleted his response, but it read: "Dude is a Great Hooper, but I don't respect a snitch."
More to the point, a "snitch" is a bit strong. Was Russell stupid? Absolutely. Did he do it intentionally? It's been established that he did not.
Swaggy P has forgiven Russell and has even formed one half of a backcourt duo with him in the early going of this season.
However, Jennings clearly still has a problem with it.
