Draymond Green is known as one of the last remaining genuine trash-talkers left in the NBA.
As one of the last survivors of a dying breed, one can imagine that Green encounters his fair share of upstarts around the league who want to give him a taste of their own medicine.
Now that the Warriors are everybody's favourite villains, largely because of securing Kevin Durant, Green revealed following their win over Phoenix on Sunday night that teams have been trying their luck already.
"Teams are trying to punk us, [but] it's fine," Green said. "We're not going to get punked."
New-boy Durant, who had 37 points in the victory, says he hasn't personally heard anything yet, but he expects a rough ride physically this year.
"I haven't heard nothing yet from nobody, but yeah, they're going to come at us physically," Durant said. "We took it tonight. That team was pressuring us to try to get us out of our stuff.
"We kept moving, we had a nice pace, we got stops and ran and got good looks all night. You can talk all you want. You still got to play."
The Dubs are yet to hit their stride, but with all the talent in their ranks, it might only be a matter of time.
