LeBron James' private Halloween party was full of scares and frights - especially if you're a Golden State Warriors player or fan.

If anyone had forgotten - of course nobody has - the Warriors threw away a 3-1 lead in last season's NBA finals.

The defending champions - led by their captain LeBron, who was dressed as Jerome from the '90s US sitcom Martin - enjoyed a Halloween party on Sunday night, their off day.

And there were plenty of reminders for fans of the Warriors.

One decoration that has been doing the rounds on social media shows a drum kit with the words '3-1 lead' printed onto the bass drum.

There were also Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry headstone cookies for the Cavaliers players and their invited guests to feast on.

A lot of effort was put into the party and the costumes were only the start of it.

Kevin Love stole the show as he arrived dressed as Jim Carrey's character Lloyd Christmas from Dumb and Dumber, while Kyrie Irving went for the simple Red Power Range attire.

Iman Shumpert also looked brilliant as he took inspiration from Suicide Squad, rocking up as The Joker.

The memories of the NBA finals will haunt the Golden State players forever but it's clear to see why Cleveland are so keen to remember it.

Coming back from 3-1 down will be the biggest achievement in most of their lives and the feeling of ending the Cleveland curse will be something none of them will ever forget.
