When the racial rant was leaked last year, it was thought that Hulk Hogan would never make his return to the WWE after they suddenly terminated his contract.
This would mark the second leaked piece of content involving him, and the WWE can't be associated with anything like that.
It came as a little bit of a surprise, as he was removed from Tough Enough and replaced by The Miz, his merchandise disappeared from WWE Shop, all references of Hogan were removed from the WWE Network, and his profile was no longer on the Hall of Fame section.

Of course, it’s difficult to argue against the WWE on this, and if they didn’t take action, the media would have come down on them like never before.
However, while Hogan has been battling Gawker for a $31 million settlement this week, he could be getting some more good news as RingSideNews are reporting that The Hulkster could be making a return to the WWE.

They’re claiming that the belief within the WWE is that they were waiting for his lawsuit with Gawker to be settled before making a return, after they leaked a sex tape involving Hogan.
RETURN BEFORE WRESTLEMANIA
It’s expected that he will come back before WrestleMania 33 in Orlando, it’s set to be a huge event so having a presence like his will certainly make the fans want to tune in.
In fact, it wouldn’t be a huge surprise to see him back in time for January’s Royal Rumble event in San Antonio, Texas.
The WWE are said to be bringing numerous legends back for the event, and it would be the perfect time to reintroduce him into WWE programming.
It seems more like a matter of when, and not it. This is because the WWE have already started to heavily feature Hogan on the Network and other programming again, and they wouldn’t do that for no reason.
Let’s hope he’s learnt his lesson in what he can and can’t say as a man of influence, and hopefully, his potential return isn’t overshadowed by all of the drama surrounding his personal life, despite the countless apologies.
