He had a memorable feud on SmackDown a few years ago, and has revealed that it’s, in fact, Christian who he shares the most chemistry, and has the most fun with.
This feud promoted Christian’s ‘one more match’ routine, after he defeated Alberto Del Rio for the World Heavyweight Championship on Raw, but lost it the same week to Orton.

Orton said: “I probably had the most fun ever, in the ring, with Christian. And it was because he could just pick stuff up out of thin air and make it something.
“Neither of us were these big high-fliers, none of us were power guys doing these big, crazy moves. But the finesse, and the things were smooth with me and him. Backstage, the kind of that guy that he was, he is, he’s just one of those guys, he’s just a top notch dude. You know what I mean?
ORTON VS. CHRISTIAN
“You can talk to him and that goes a long way in the ring when you’re friends with a guy, and you can talk to him on a different level. Not just work, not just wrestling or WWE or merchandise sales but you can talk about family.
“And he legitimately cares about how my daughter’s doing, and I care about the birth of his daughter, and we exchange, you know, that kind of stuff, he’s that kind of guy, and there’s not many of those guys.
“But when it comes to being in the ring, Christian is just, everything is so effortless, everything’s so smooth, and when it comes to timing and chemistry, I don’t know if I had better timing or chemistry with anybody other than him. I’ve had some of my best matches with Christian.”
Orton’s statement just echoes the thoughts of their co-workers, such as Booker T, who also reiterates that Christian is one of the most underrated performers in history.
