Chelsea produced an absolutely stunning display on Saturday afternoon to thrash Everton 5-0 and move to the top of the Premier League table.

The comprehensive victory at Stamford Bridge extended their record of not conceding a single league goal ever since manager Antonio Conte switched to his more preferred 3-4-3 formation.

The Blues' run of five straight league wins included the humiliation of former boss Jose Mourinho as his Manchester United side were embarrassingly beaten 4-0 towards the end of last month.

Chelsea's remarkable recent run has seen them score 16 goals, concede none, but it's now produced a simply incredible statistic that is sure to please their supporters whilst heaping further embarrassment onto the "Special One".

On the back of their huge win over Everton, it's now the case that, since the beginning of last season, Conte has won as many Premier League matches as Mourinho.

To put that into some context, it means the 47-year-old ex-Juventus and Italy manager has won as many games in the English top flight in three months as Mourinho has in fifteen, albeit the Portuguese coach was out of work for an extended period after being sacked last December.

They both took over at new clubs during the summer, with Conte effectively acting as the long-term replacement for the current Man United manager.

Mourinho spent nearly £150 million, most notably on world-record signing Paul Pogba, compared to Conte who spent just over £115 million to acquire the likes of N'Golo Kante and secure the return of David Luiz.

The Red Devils may have shed more cash in the last transfer window, but, with Chelsea rising to the summit and United languishing down in eighth place, it's clear to see which team has had the more impressive start to the season.

Conte has overseen a transformation at Chelsea over the past few weeks, stars such as Luiz, top scorer Diego Costa and main man Eden Hazard are operating at a world-class level, and the charismatic Italian mastermind has turned them into genuine title contenders once again.

Can Chelsea win the Premier League in Conte's first season? Where will Man Utd finish? Have YOUR say in the comments box below!
