The story how Cristiano Ronaldo persuaded Sir Alex Ferguson to sign him following a pre-season match for Sporting Lisbon against Manchester United has been told many a time.
An 18-year-old Ronaldo turned on the style in front of his future employers to give John O'Shea a torrid time during one clash before the 2003/04 season.
It came during the same summer David Beckham had moved to Real Madrid and there was a sizeable void on the right side of Ferguson's midfield as a result.
Ronaldo would go on to justifiably fill Beckham's No. 7 shirt with a series of stunning seasons in the Premier League before making the same move to Spain in 2009.
And during the launch of his brand new CR7 Chapter 3 boots, the Madrid star has revealed a bit more insight on what went on during his initial encounter with Ferguson.
"The first game that I played against Manchester United was an unbelievable game. It was the perfect night, the perfect night," Ronaldo said, as per Sky Sports.
"After the game some of my teammates said: 'Listen, you're going to go to Manchester, trust me!'"
His teammates were absolutely right but a fresh-faced Ronaldo still felt nervous about meeting the Red Devils' iconic boss and he has revealed the first thing Ferguson said to him.
"Sir Alex Ferguson was there, and [they said] he wants to speak with you. I go to the dressing room, he introduced me to the players.
"For me, I was a little bit shy. And Sir Alex Ferguson said to me: 'Listen, I want you now.'
"Everything came so fast, and two days after I speak to the coach and they take me to England, and I was in Manchester, and I signed."
Ferguson certainly had a way with words and even though the Portuguese star couldn't speak much English back then, United's manager knew that meeting the rest of the squad would go a long way to convincing him to sign.
Ronaldo has come a long way from his humble beginnings in Portugal, however, he still values the role his first club played on his path to success.
He added: "The history that I have with Sporting, it is great, it's an honour for me to be in this family.
"Sporting helped me to give me a good education, not just on the pitch, but outside the pitch."
