Gareth Barry is on course to become the player with the most Premier League appearances to his name.
Ryan Giggs currently tops the table with 632 appearances, followed by Frank Lampard on 609 while Barry is third on the list on 606.
The former England midfielder turns 36 in February but keeps himself fit and has at least another couple of years at the highest level left in him. Giggs played into his 40s, so why not the Everton vice-captain?
Barry has played in all 11 of the Toffees’ Premier League matches this season and now has a couple of weeks to relax and get himself ready for the Swansea City match thanks to the international break.
Ronald Koeman’s men will be looking to bounce back against the Swans after their 5-0 thrashing at the hands of Chelsea at Stamford Bridge last weekend.
