Donald Trump shocked the world last night as he was named the President-elect of the United States of America, beating out Hillary Clinton in a close-fought affair.
The Republican nominee, who experts didn't give all that much of a chance of winning, managed to grab some key swing states and turned the tide in his favour, moving from an 8/1 outsider in the betting markets to becoming the new incumbent of the White House when he takes up office on January 20 of next year.
Following two terms of Barack Obama, the States is in for a big period of change as the Republicans now dominate the Senate and House of Representatives.

As you would likely expect, Twitter was aflame with reaction from both sides. Among those were a horde of NFL players past and present who let the world know how exactly they were feeling after the potentially life-changing result.
From Oakland Raiders punter Marquette King to two-time Super Bowl winner Osi Umenyiora, plenty expressed their emotions in the aftermath of Trump's win.
Then there were a couple of tweets from Joe Theismann and Shawne Merriman, who seemed to be supporting Trump.
