While Conor McGregor looks to create history at UFC 205 by becoming the first man to hold two world titles simultaneously, it looked as if he was eyeing up his third behind the scenes on Friday.

Following the official weigh-ins, welterweight champion Tyron Woodley acknowledged the Irishman before a tense stare-off followed.

TWITTER EXCHANGE

It resulted in heated words exchanged on Twitter, while McGregor also squared up to Woodley, as well as Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Woodley explained what went down, saying Notorious tried to ‘flex’ him and then realised it was a ‘no flex zone.’

Obviously, once McGregor heard of this, he hit back at Woodley, with numerous tweets exchanged between the pair, which you can see below.

CONFRONTATIONS

All of this followed what happened at the weigh-ins, where McGregor didn’t take too kindly at the fact that Woodley recorded his altercation with Eddie Alvarez on-stage, cussing him out before being taken away.

He said: “Get your little camera phone. P***y. You’re like a woman. You’re like a woman with that phone. F*****g b***h. F*****g b***h.”

It didn’t end there, the UFC’s Spanish account also managed to catch another brief face-off between McGregor and Nurmagomedov, who battles Michael Johnson on the undercard.

It’s not clear just why the two of them squared up to one another, but Nurmagomedov has been quite vocal regarding McGregor’s title shot, while he was overlooked.

McGregor did say on stage that he wants all the belts, and a documented faceoff with The Chosen One could be the best way to create a buzz if he ever wants to step up to 170 pounds again.

That may not even be the case if Stephen Thompson dethrones Woodley in the co-main event.
