Chelsea supporters have plenty of reasons to love Michy Batshuayi, even if he has only made a handful of appearances off the bench for his new club.

The Belgium international has netted three goals in a blue shirt since arriving from Marseille during the summer – and also happens to be an absolute hit on social media.

While his performances on the pitch have not yet convinced Antonio Conte to start him ahead of Diego Costa at the tip of the Chelsea attack, that has not stopped him from enjoying himself.

Batshuayi has demonstrated flashes of brilliance during his bit-part involvement for the Blues to date, but his form on Twitter is what has really put him onside with the fans.

From schooling rival fans to threatening EA Sports he will dump FIFA for Pro Evo, the 23-year-old has produced several hilarious online antics – and his latest work is some of his best yet.

Shortly after Belgium thumped Estonia 8-1 in a World Cup qualifier on Sunday evening, Batshuayi tweeted his appreciation for the fans who came to the match, only to be mocked by a Chelsea fan.

The Blues striker – who spent the entire match on the bench – was asked: “How’s the bench[?]”

In what is quickly becoming typical fashion, Batshuayi hit back with a question of his own, which read: “[It’s] ok. How’s your bedroom kid?”

Blown away by the response, the troll then insisted he was just playing around, to which the Chelsea star answered with a smiley face: “yes and I can make banters too”.

Batshuayi will be hoping to get more time on the pitch in the near future, especially for his club.

But as long as Costa continues his hot form and the Blues keep winning, Conte is unlikely to tinker too much with his winning formula.

If it serves as any consolation, it would appear unlikely that being forced to warm the bench is having any negative impact on Batshuayi’s ability to entertain on Twitter.
