There have been plenty of rumours going around regarding the potential main event for the upcoming WWE Roadblock: End of the Line pay-per-view.
Right now, it seems like the plans are in place for Kevin Owens to put his WWE Universal Championship on the line against current United States Champion, Roman Reigns.
While the two will be teammates at this Sunday’s Survivor Series event, it’s expected that their feud will kick off soon after.

Also rumoured to take place at Roadblock is a clash between Seth Rollins and Owens’ best friend, Chris Jericho, after the latter cost Rollins the title at Hell in a Cell.
However, according to the Wrestling Observer, the plans for Owens and his title were originally scheduled to be a little different.
At first, Roadblock was supposed to feature a triple threat match for the title, where Owens would defend his gold against Rollins and Jericho.
Following this, we would have finally witnessed the ugly break-up of the best friends, as Jericho would challenge Owens for the title heading into the New Year, and that could have been the way to write Jericho out of WWE programming.
The long-term plan was to eventually face off against Reigns in 2017, but it seems like the WWE have decided to accelerate those plans and have Reigns in the main event picture once more earlier than anticipated.
It’s a little surprising that the WWE have decided to scrap the triple threat match for now, and have Owens and Reigns feud before 2017.
It raises the question as to what the Canadian could be doing towards the Royal Rumble event, as he’s expected to also feature a big WrestleMania 33 match.
But whether he has the Universal title around his waist remains to be seen.
