The State of the WWE Universe Address was a unique bit of programming that followed Monday Night Raw on the WWE Network this past week to say the least.
The idea behind the Network special was to have the commissioners and general managers of Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live debate about which show is superior amongst other things before they collide on Sunday at the Survivor Series pay-per-view.
However, in true WWE fashion, it was never going to be just a cordial chat.

Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan of SmackDown Live went up against Stephenie McMahon and Mick Foley of Raw in a battle of wits and it was the general managers that ended up getting heated.
Foley asserted that Bryan - who was forced to retire from in-ring competition earlier this year - couldn't really care about his job on SmackDown Live after recalling comments Bryan made about not wanting to be around wrestling in the aftermath of his retirement.
The Beard was furious with Foley's comments and insisted that the Raw GM could not blame Bryan for preferring to wrestle over being a GM as Foley quit WWE and “went to TNA to wrestle," many years ago.
Ouch. Not only is that a very real life burn, but the mere mention of TNA on WWE television is rare.
However, Bryan went on to say that two current Raw superstars told him on Monday they want to join SD Live.
The two performers in question are Cesaro and Sami Zayn, two popular stars who can't seem to make their way into the main event picture with the Red Brand.
