It's been a good week for Conor McGregor. First he became the first ever UFC fighter to hold two titles simultaneously over two separate weight divisions thanks to his victory over Eddie Alvarez at the weekend, but he received a big bump in his desires to become the organisations best pound for pound fighter.

However, despite this news, he still has some work to do to realise that dream as he still hasn't made it to the top of the tree.

No, McGregor still has some way to go if he wants to dethrone Demetrious Johnson, who remains UFC's number one pound for pound fighter.

The 30-year-old American, also known as Mighty Mouse, has held his flyweight title for four years now, and has won 10 of his last 11 fights (drawing the first).

McGregor moved up two places from fourth to second, and will have to dig a little bit deeper to take the top spot from Johnson.

Other notable names include Jose Aldo, who remains in fifth position, while British veteran Michael Bisping has climbed one spot from 10th to 9th.

However, McGregor along with Amanda Nunes are the biggest movers, having both climbed two positions. Nunes has shot up from 15th to 13th.

Heir to the throne?

There was also one new entry, with Russian fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov climbing into the top 15.

Having defeated Michael Johnson on the prelim card at UFC 205 the 28-year-old has now moved up to 24-0 in his own MMA career and is now being talked about as the next fight for McGregor to defend his title.

Nurmagomedov this week called out McGregor to face him and put his title on the line or else he'll quit UFC altogether.

"I want to fight for [the] UFC title for respect but if I don't get my title shot next I have different plan. I won't be fighting in UFC," he said via the Mirror.
