We all know David de Gea’s goalkeeping skills are pretty extraordinary, but did you know he’s equally incredible at shopping?
Yep, you heard that correctly. We said shopping.
A video has emerged of the Spaniard in his local supermarket having a bit of fun.
The world-class ‘keeper is seen attempting to launch some napkins into his trolley from the other side of aisle 24.
Does he manage it?
Of course he does, he absolutely nails it with them landing flush into his already packed trolley.
Check out the video below:
We wonder how many times De Gea had to do that to make sure it landed in. Perhaps the most surprising thing is to see a footballer actually going out and doing his weekly shop, rather than ordering it or getting someone else to do it.
On the pitch
On the pitch, things aren’t going quite as smoothly for De Gea and United.
Jose Mourinho’s side are currently sixth in the league, already eight points adrift of league leaders Liverpool.
The Red Devils face a crunch match against Arsenal at Old Trafford on Saturday lunchtime and they know a defeat could see them all but out for any title race this season.
Despite their slow start, De Gea insisted last month that, under Mourinho, they still have a chance of challenging for the title.
“I think it's the most competitive season in the Premier League,” he added.
“A lot of teams are really good and fit, but we are United, we like this challenge and want to fight for the league.
“Jose is a manager who has a lot of Premier League games in the bag and he speaks with us all the time in the big games to motivate us and try to win every game.
“We have a great team with the new players, they are really good and we need to show and fight for every ball, every game and try to play our best football.”
One thing you shouldn't expect to see this weekend if De Gea accidentally rolling the ball out to an Arsenal player because he’s just proved his accuracy with his hands is spot on.
