There might have been a few non-Liverpool fans who scoffed at the initial thought of James Milner being Jurgen Klopp's first-choice left-back this season.
Even a few Red supporters might have secretly held a few reservations over Milner's capability to perform in such an unfamiliar role consistently over 38 games.
But 11 matches into the season, the former England international hasn't looked out of place on the left side of defence in Klopp's table-topping team.

As well as looking more than competent defensively, Milner has also been able to chip in with four goals and clearly still hasn't lost his natural attacking instincts despite moving into a deeper role.
And just to emphasise that he could still do a job further forward, the recently converted left-back has shone in a challenge for BT Sport.

Incredibly, it has been 14 years since Gianfranco Zola scored one of the most iconic goals in his career.
Chelsea's Italian maestro displayed all of his technical talent against Norwich during an FA Cup tie to meet an inswinging corner with an audacious back-heel flick at the near post.
Fast forward to 2016, Milner has attempted to recreate the cheeky finish, as part of BT Sport’s #GoalsRecreated’ campaign, with apparent ease.
As you can see by watching the video below, despite Divock Origi's best efforts to sabotage his teammate's challenge, Milner was able to recreate Zola's flick at the first serious attempt.
The first corner Origi delivered was well off the mark and Milner must have feared for the worst, but he made no mistake when his teammate eventually found the right area.
If we are being picky, Milner's attempt wasn't quite the same as Zola's.
The Liverpool star's neat finish found the bottom corner in contrast to Zola's, which beat the goalkeeper at the top corner.
We'll let him off, though - it is still a pretty impressive effort.
Like us, Philippe Coutinho was in awe of how easy Milner made it look and even gestured cleaning his teammate's boots afterwards.
