Cristiano Ronaldo is no stranger to throwing his toys out of the pram during training.

The Real Madrid star has kicked off once already this season, reacting badly to being nutmegged by Marcelo and booting the ball into the press box.

Even CR7's biggest admirers would have to admit he can be a little petulant at times, and it seems he's been repeating those kinds of antics again during a practice session.

Ahead of Los Blancos' trip to the Vicente Calderon to face city rivals Atletico Madrid this weekend, the Portuguese made a clumsy-looking challenge on team-mate Lucas Vazquez, leaving the winger clutching his leg on the floor.

There's no need for that kind of recklessness in training at the best of times. However, it's especially interesting given the comments Vazquez recently made about the Ballon d'Or favourite.

The 25-year-old seemingly hit out at Real's superstar trio of Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, and Karim Benzema, who are affectionately known as 'BBC'.

Vazquez irks Ronnie

Vazquez said, as per the Mirror:

"A team is based on everyone working.

"The BBC and the midfield have to work to help the defence not concede so many goals."

"It makes no difference if we think it's fair or not that the BBC are untouchable."

Perhaps it wasn't the smartest thing to say given Ronaldo's status at the club.

And while the 31-year-old surely didn't mean to hurt his colleague, you have to wonder exactly what he was doing charging in like that the day before such a big game.

Take a look at the video, via Goal.com, and draw your own conclusions.

Zinedine Zidane's men are likely to be in highly-charged mood against Atleti as they hope to extend their two-point lead over Barcelona at the top of La Liga.

What Zidane needs, though, is his side pulling together, not causing even more injury problems. Fortunately, Vazquez got straight back up, and with Pepe, Toni Kroos, and Alvaro Morata all in the treatment room, it's just as well.

Is Vazquez right - should BBC be getting back more? Have your say in the comments.
