Kevin Owens and AJ Styles are set to clash this Sunday at WWE Survivor Series when Team Raw takes on Team SmackDown in the traditional five on five Survivor Series match.
The WWE World champion was interviewed recently by Planeta Wrestling earlier this month in Spain, where they said they interviewed the Universal champion earlier in the year and he called Styles a rookie.
Styles responded to those comments, taking a few shots at Owens along the way as well.

He said: "Kevin Owens was in diapers when I was wrestling. So to say that I'm a rookie, eh, I don't know about that. Let's be honest, I don't need 'my little mentor' or whatever it is, that Triple H is, to beat the guy for me. To win a championship. Nope, I did that all my own.
"I found a way to win on my own, I didn't daddy Triple H to do it for me."
Strong comments from Styles, and it will be interesting to see if any of them are picked up by the WWE to use in the match on Sunday.
At the moment, Team SmackDown are the favorites to win at Survivor Series at 5/7, although Team Raw's odds of winning the match are at evens, so it really could go either way. That's not because the teams are evenly matched, but because the build up has been relatively poor. There's nothing really there for the fans to invest in to want one team win over the other.
Maybe Triple H will get involved to spice things up, and the possibility of that happening are slim but not out of the realm of question.
The only way this happens is if he plays a part in getting Seth Rollins eliminated to enhance their possible WrestleMania 33 matchup, and then helps Owens win the overall match. Perhaps Rollins finds a way to get the Universal champion eliminated, and Triple H comes out for revenge.
Overall, Team SmackDown needs the win more, so maybe Team Raw does implode to help that outcome, with the catalyst being interference from The Game attacking The Architect.
