Leeds deny Windass links

Leeds have denied reports Hull striker Dean Windass is poised to join them on loan.

Windass admitted earlier this week that he would consider a move to the Yorkshire club if he failed to win back his place in Hull's side.

But Leeds manager Gary McAllister told the Yorkshire Evening Post: "I'm more than happy with the squad at this current time and have no immediate plans to add players to it."

Windass, 39, instrumental in Hull's promotion to the Premier League last season, had been reported to be ready to join Leeds in time for Saturday's game at Cheltenham.
