Tottenham defender Benoit Assou-Ekotto has revealed he would love to return to France and has set his sights on joining Paris St Germain.
Assou-Ekotto spent three years in the first team at Lens having joined the club as a 10-year-old, before moving to Spurs in the summer of 2006 for a fee believed to be about £3.5million (about 4.4million euros).
"I have reflected a lot and I would love a return to France," the 24-year-old told radio station RMC. "Above all I would love to join PSG."
The French-born Cameroon international was one of football's hottest prospects but a serious knee injury in December 2006 sidelined him for more than a year.
Meanwhile, PSG striker Mohammed Taidara, 18, has hinted at a move in the opposite direction.
"More and more, English and Spanish clubs are making enquiries about me," he told Senegal newspaper Le Matin.
"Recently I finished as top scorer in a youth tournament and that saw me explode on to the scene.
"I am not sure I will still be at PSG after the winter transfer window."
