Two football fans tried, and failed, to stay overnight in the Emirates Stadium recently.
But, undeterred by their disappointment, they returned with a bigger and bolder challenge: sleeping overnight inside Old Trafford.
The pair, who are named Uosof and Kyle, have several videos on their YouTube channel attempting to spend 24 hours in random places such as a cinema, a school bus and even M&M’s World.
Their latest video is their most daring yet. Old Trafford is home to one of the most high-profile football teams in the world and you would imagine that the pair would be caught within hours of sneaking off during an official stadium tour.
But they weren’t. And they’ve uploaded a video of their escapes.
The incident happened on Friday, and they managed to stay overnight in the toilets. The game appears to be up when someone knocks on the door, but they quickly walked away.
Remarkably, the jokers even managed to catch a glimpse of United’s game against Arsenal on the Saturday before being caught.
It was only when security carried out a sweep of the stadium did they notice Uosof and Kyle.
Watch the video
You’ve got to hand it to them. As Uosof explains, the pair sat in freezing cold toilets and went roughly 36 hours without food.
They avoided being arrested, too, although they can probably expect another call from the police after the video was published on YouTube.
They attempted the same with Arsenal's stadium
Police are investigating
Police are investigating how the duo managed to evade detection.
“We realise people will go to any lengths to watch a game at Old Trafford but these people went too far,” a club spokesman said, via The Guardian. “The fact that they and their belongings had been searched before entry means we are confident there was no risk to safety.”
United’s security has already been called into question this year. In May, their season finale against Bournemouth was postponed due to a bomb scare.
Old Trafford was evacuated after a device, which turned out to be a fake bomb left behind after a security training exercise, was found inside the 75,653-capacity stadium.
