Smackdown Live is eagerly preparing for the TLC PPV which is just two weeks away and already has a plethora of quality matches made for the event.
The brand has really done well to establish itself since the draft, but one man who was meant to join the roster after the brand split has still not been seen.
Return of the Gold Standard
Following the draft, videos began to feature on Smackdown hyping the return to WWE of a former United States Champion, the Gold Standard Shelton Benjamin.

Benjamin however would not return to WWE TV as he suffered an injury while his return was being advertised.
Since then, fans have continued to question when they will see him back in a WWE ring, but he has finally given them an answer.
It may unfortunately not be the answer that those fans wanted to hear however as Benjamin has confirmed that he could still be a long way away from debuting on Smackdown Live.
"I seem to keep getting asked when am I returning to WWE on twitter and in person. For the record. I will make moves to return to WWE when I am back to 110% physically. Anywhere from 4 to 6 months by my doc calculation." - Benjamin on his Smackdown Live debut
With a return date of four to six months, that could rule Benjamin out through WrestleMania and beyond as he hopes to take over Smackdown.
The entire WWE Universe was buzzing when news of Benjamin's return was first announced, but with him not having appeared yet, that hype has somewhat faded.
It will be very interesting to see just where Benjamin fits in once he does appear on Smackdown, something that he is working hard to make a reality.
"Believe me when I say I am just as anxious to get back in the mix as a lot of fans are to see me."
