There may be a new member of the NBA's infamous 'banana boat crew' after yesterday's Thanksgiving celebrations in the United States of America.

With the New York Knicks preparing for a home encounter with the Charlotte Hornets, and the Chicago Bulls in Philadelphia for their game with the 76ers of a packed Black Friday schedule, Dwyane Wade took a trip to see his good friend Carmelo Anthony.

And the Anthony family's Thanksgiving celebrations turned into a 'super celebration' as Melo's Knicks teammate Derrick Rose was also in attendance.

Carmelo's wife Lala posted a picture of the two Chicago natives with the Knicks leader and later posted a picture of herself, Melo, Wade and his other half Gabriella Union smoking cigars.

Thanksgiving is always a time for people to be thankful for what they have in life, and earlier in the day, the Anthony's had been out with some of New York's most famous to serve food and hand out presents to those less fortunate.

Lala also tweeted that 20 guests were staying with herself and Melo, showing just what the holiday meant to them. But now, for Anthony, it is back to the day job, and the task of leading his Knicks to the playoffs.
