Khabib Nurmagomedov’s continual pursuit of Conor McGregor doesn’t look like it will be ending anytime soon.
While it could seem borderline obsessive from The Eagle, you can’t blame the unbeaten lightweight on wanting to get McGregor inside of the Octagon and battle for the championship gold the Irishman now holds.
However, Notorious has offered very little in terms of who his next opponent will be, but Nurmagomedov is doing a fine job on his own, by speaking out over and over again at what will happen should they meet in 2017.

It does seem like he will have to settle for an interim championship fight against Tony Ferguson next, and should he come through that and stretch his remarkable record to 25-0, there’s nobody that can stop him from fighting McGregor.
When TMZ caught up with the dangerous Dagestani, he revealed that he doesn’t care about the money, as he only wants the championship, as well as his desire to go the full five rounds with him.
He said: “To be honest with you, I don’t care about this guy (McGregor), I care only about, it somebody wants to fight for the money, I never think about money because I have a lot of money.
“I think the lightweight division has a lot of guys, a lot of tough guys who are more tough than him, who can beat him easily, and that’s why I don’t care about him.
FIVE ROUND FIGHT
“I know a lot of guys want to fight him about the money, make pay-per-views, something like b******t, but I want to fight with him only about the belt.”
Despite his claims that he’s not interested in him, he did go on to reveal exactly what he would do if the two are to meet next year.
He added: “I want to take him down, speak with him, slap him, make him nervous, like, Hey, get up! Let’s go! Where is your boxing?’
“You know, slap him, play with him and make him give up. This is what I want.
“But I don’t want to finish him in first round, second round, third round. I want to fight with him for 25 minutes like be rounds, and I want to make him look very bad. This is what I want to do, and finish his hype.”
While it all may be quiet on the McGregor front for the next few months or so, we have Nurmagomedov to entertain us with his relentless approach.
