Gianluigi Donnarumma is widely regarded as the best goalkeeper on the planet and it’s easy to understand why.

The 17-year-old, who is 6ft 5in tall but still has a few more years ahead of him before he stops growing, is AC Milan’s number one goalkeeper and has already made two appearances for the Italian national team.

Donnarumma has barely put a foot wrong since making his professional debut last year but he’s still human.

The ball was swung into the box from the right flank and Donnarumma intervened with his best Superman impression.

He sensed the danger but failed to get enough purchase on the ball.

It fell straight to Empoli midfielder Riccardo Saponara who lashed the ball past Donnarumma into the bottom corner of the net.

Fortunately for Donnarumma, his mistake didn’t prove costly.
