Southend needed a late Jean Francois Christophe goal to claim a 3-3 Coca-Cola League One draw with Colchester at Roots Hall in a game they appeared to be well in control of.

The Shrimpers had taken a 2-0 lead inside 13 minutes through Peter Clarke and Francis Laurent but Johnnie Jackson and Mark Yeates levelled the scores.

Anthony Wordsworth put Colchester ahead with nine minutes remaining but Christophe saved Southend.

Two goals from Carl Baker and one from Stephen Gleeson gave Stockport a 3-0 win over Carlisle while Aaron Brown and Paul Warne efforts ensured Yeovil won 2-0 at Oldham.

Peterborough beat Hereford by the same scoreline after a double from Craig Mackail-Smith, who also had a penalty saved, while struggling Leyton Orient saw off Hartlepool 1-0 with a late Adam Boyd winner.

Keigan Parker hit an 88th-minute winner as Huddersfield beat Crewe 3-2 after initially seeing a 2-0 lead wiped out by a Clayton Donaldson double.

Andy Butler and Ian Craney had put the Terriers ahead at the Galpharm Stadium but it needed Parker's late intervention to secure the points.

There was still time for Parker to be sent off, in injury time, for a second yellow card.

Matt Fryatt scored twice in the last three minutes as Leicester staged a late fightback to beat Bristol Rovers 2-1 at the Walkers Stadium. Jo Kuffour had put Rovers ahead after 61 minutes.

Chris Palmer, Anthony Gerrard and Troy Deeney were on target as Walsall beat Northampton 3-1, Leon Constantine replying.
