Arsenal fans were understandably furious following Wednesday's 2-0 defeat to Southampton.

Not only did the Gunners exit the EFL Cup at the quarter-final stage, with an appearance at Wembley on the horizon, but they did so after an awful performance.

Defensive errors resulted in first-half strikes from Jordy Clasie and Ryan Bertrand, while a lack of threat going forward meant Arsenal were unable to rescue their 19-game unbeaten run in all competitions.

Long story short, it was a disappointing night.

The blame has since been pinned on the likes of Carl Jenkinson, Aaron Ramsey and Lucas Perez but, according to ArsenalFanTV regular 'Troopz', it's Ramsey who is the "disgrace".

In the video below, Troopz embarks upon an extraordinary - and explict - rant about how the Welshman was "embarrassed" by Southampton's midfielders at the Emirates Stadium.

"Today was [Ramsey's] time to prove a point; to shine," he said. "He is the most experienced f***** in this team. He's a disgrace.

"There are a couple of [players] certified to start in this Arsenal team: [Petr] Cech, Alexis [Sanchez], [Laurent] Koscielny, [Shkodran] Mustafi and [Mesut] Ozil. Ramsey is another one. Why?

"What has he done? What does he do? Look at today, Clasie and [Steven] Davis embarrassed him."

Ouch. Ramsey wasn't the only Arsenal player in Troopz's firing line, with Jenkinson's role at the club also brought into question.

Arsenal v Southampton - EFL Cup Quarter-Final

"You can't dribble, you can't pass, you can't shoot - why are you playing football?" he said. "I don't care if he's diehard Arsenal.

"I'm more diehard Arsenal than him and I'm not in this f***ing team!"

Both players now face a fight not only for a role in Wenger's starting XI, but also for their respective futures at Arsenal.

While Ramsey's best position and midfield partner is yet to be idenfitied, there are growing concerns that Jenkinson simply isn't good enough at right-back.
