Last month, Borussia Dortmund chief Hans-Joachim Watzke confirmed that Usain Bolt will train with the German football club next year.

The sprinter, who supports Manchester United, plans to retire from athletics at next year's World Championships in London and has signalled his ambition to become a professional footballer on numerous occasions.

Once Bolt's agreement with Dortmund was announced, there was only one question on many fans' lips - what would happen if the fastest man in the world ever had a race against rapid striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang? Well, we could be close to finding out.

Aubameyang challenges Bolt

Aubameyang has challenged the 30-year-old Jamaican to a 30m sprint, saying: "I'm waiting (on) you man. I want to do that race because I want to see how I am, because everybody says I am fast but I don't think so. Yeah, I hope to see you one day and let's do this challenge."

In addition to developing into one of Europe's most deadliest finishers, the Gabonese international is renowned for being the quickest forward around.
