Adkins plays down Terriers link

Published Add your comment

Scunthorpe boss Nigel Adkins has moved to end speculation linking him with the manager's job at Huddersfield.

Adkins has led the Iron to the top of League One and after the Terriers sacked Stan Ternent on Tuesday, he has been heavily linked with a move to the West Yorkshire outfit.

"I can control the controllable but I cannot control speculation and speculation is all this is," he told the Scunthorpe Telegraph.

"I am just trying to focus on what will be a difficult FA Cup tie at Walsall on Saturday and looking forward to what will be my 100th game in charge of this club."
