Lincoln's Peter Jackson has won the League Two Manager of the Month award for October.

Jackson steered the Imps on a six-match unbeaten run, which included five wins and a draw, and has been rewarded with the top monthly gong beating off competition from Wycombe's Peter Taylor, Darlington's Dave Penney and Chesterfield's Lee Richardson.

Jackson, who last won the award in February, shortly before he left his post at Sincil Bank to undergo treatment on throat cancer, told the club's official site: "It's a big award for me, it's a big award for the club and I am really delighted."

He added: "It's been a terrific effort. We started the season slowly but during October we were outstanding.

"It proves that this side is capable of winning promotion and an award such as this for the manager suggests that."
