Saints suffer Robins triumph

Bristol City maintained their encouraging away form in the Coca-Cola Championship as Lee Johnson's second-half goal earned them a deserved 1-0 win at Southampton.

Johnson's smart 18-yard finish after 51 minutes proved enough for Gary Johnson's side - who also saw Michael McIndoe miss a 19th-minute penalty - to take all three points away from St Mary's and register their fourth win on the road this season.

The defeat leaves Southampton just a point above the relegation zone and without a home win since September, however City move up into ninth thanks to their first win in four games.
