Wigan manager Steve Bruce has pointed an accusing finger at Sepp Blatter regarding the possible use of video technology.

Despite widespread support for a third eye, Bruce claims the FIFA president is dead against against the introduction of the technique.

Bruce said: "Why can't a referee go to the fourth official after giving a second yellow card and say 'Have I got this right?'. I think there is only one man, the president of FIFA, who for some reason does not want that to happen."

He added: "Yet we see it in rugby, we see it in cricket, we even seen it now in tennis.

"It becomes part of the entertainment for the crowd. It has to come in, the quicker the better.

"The Premier League want to bring technology in and have spent hundreds of thousands of pounds on technology to make sure it works."
