Colchester chairman Robbie Cowling has paid tribute to outgoing chief executive Marie Partner for her contribution to the club.
Partner is leaving the League One side after 21 years having helped them regain their league status, reach the Championship and move into their new Community Stadium earlier this season.
"I know everyone involved with Colchester United is sorry to see Marie Partner leave the club," said Cowling. "Anyone who has ever had to deal with Marie knows she has been 100% Colchester United for the last 21 years and has worked harder and longer than anyone else at the club."
He added: "I have known Marie for the last eight of those years and cannot remember a single instance where she was not prepared to drop everything for Colchester United."
