Lita extends Canaries loan

Reading striker Leroy Lita has extended his loan at Championship rivals Norwich until January 1.

Lita completed his second month with the Canaries during Sunday's East Anglian derby win over Ipswich and has so far scored six goals in 12 games.

Reading boss Steve Coppell said: "The circumstances at the current time more or less mirror those when Leroy first went on loan - our strikers are fit and scoring, and Leroy desperately wants to play."

He added: "He's scoring regularly for Norwich so it's an ideal situation for the player, Norwich and ourselves.

"I also know that if any of our strikers become injured or suffer a loss of form Leroy is right up to game speed and ready to come straight back in."

Lita will not be eligible to face the Royals next weekend but can face Watford on Wednesday night.
