Swansea boss Roberto Martinez hailed his side's "character" as they came from two goals down to snatch a point against Barnsley.

Barnsley had taken the lead in the 49th minute through Jon Macken, and when Jamal Campbell-Ryce slotted home a 56th-minute penalty it looked all over for the Swans.

But Jason Scotland scored in the 66th and 90th minutes to rescue a point for the Swans after they had looked down and out and Martinez said: "In the first half we never got going and weren't ourselves at all."

He added: "We were heavily punished for a slow start in the second half but the way we finished we fully deserved a point.

"To give a side a two-goal lead in the Championship and come back from that shows the character in the club."
