Al Habsi handed new Trotters deal

Bolton goalkeeper Ali Al Habsi has signed a new four-year contract that will keep him at the Reebok Stadium until 2013.

The Oman international is yet to feature for the Trotters this season but played an important part in keeping Bolton up last term when he stepped in for injured number one Jussi Jaaskelainen.

His contract had been due to expire at the end of the season and he had been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur, but the stopper, 26, has now committed himself to the club he joined from Norwegian side Lyn Oslo three years ago.
