Sunderland striker Roy O'Donovan has joined Blackpool on loan until the end of the season.

The 23-year-old Irishman, who was recalled from his loan spell at Dundee United earlier this month, is available to play for the Tangerines in Saturday's Coca-Cola Championship clash with promotion-chasing Birmingham.

O'Donovan, who joined the Black cats from Cork City in August 2007, made 17 Barclays Premier League appearances for the club last season, 13 of them as a substitute.
