Defender Darren Powell has left Derby after the Championship club decided against offering him a new contract.
The 32-year-old was signed on a short-term deal by former Rams boss Paul Jewell in November.
He made eight appearances for the club in all competitions - the last of which came as a second-half substitute as Derby scraped past non-League Forest Green 4-3 in the FA Cup third round earlier this month.
New manager Nigel Clough has deemed Powell surplus to requirements as he continues to trim the large squad he inherited from his predecessor Jewell.
"Darren has left. His contract was up and we haven't renewed it. Him and Andrejs (Pereplotkins) are the only players to leave so far," said Clough.
"The chairman will be dealing with the majority of it, but we have got six, eight or 10 players that are available for loans or whatever and we are working to try and get something sorted with those."
