Derby County have confirmed their interest in Motherwell striker Chris Porter.
Fellow Coca-Cola Championship side Cardiff have already had an offer accepted for the 25-year-old, but a move to the Welsh club could now be in doubt after County declared their interest in the player, who has also been linked with Hearts.
Rams chairman Adam Pearson told the Scottish Daily Express: "Chris Porter is a player Nigel Clough likes and we are aware of his situation. He is a player the club would be interested in signing."
