Leicester have bolstered their squad with the signing of Hull defender Wayne Brown on loan until the end of the season.

The Foxes have the option to make the deal permanent at the end of the campaign, and boss Nigel Pearson was delighted to get Brown on board.

He told the club`s official website: "Wayne played a major part in Hull's promotion to the Premier League last season and his experience will be invaluable to us. He is a player that I have admired for a long time and I'm delighted to have him on board."

Brown, 31, has made just two appearances for the Tigers this season as well as spending a month on loan at Championship side Preston.

He goes straight into the City squad for the trip to Northampton.
