Matt Harrold's late winner helped Wycombe maintain their four-point lead at the top of Coca-Cola League Two as they beat Accrington Stanley 2-1.
Accrington took the lead in the 16th minute with a fantastic goal by Paul Mullin, who unleashed a dipping volley into the top left corner from the edge of the area.
However, they shot themselves in the foot eight minutes later when the unfortunate Colin Murdock turned Chris Casement's cross into his own net and Harrold headed home 10 minutes from time to snatch all three points.
Brentford remain hot on their heels after a Jordan Rhodes hat-trick earned them a 3-1 victory at Shrewsbury.
Rhodes, who bagged his first in the second minute, scored all three inside half an hour.
Grant Holt headed in a consolation for the hosts in the 68th minute but it was not enough to prevent Shrewsbury from slipping out of the play-off places.
Dagenham and Redbridge dropped to eighth after a Pawel Abbott strike in the 74th minute consigned them to a 1-0 defeat at home to Darlington, who remain two points off the automatic promotion places.
The pair have been replaced in the play-off spots by Rochdale and Bradford.
A first-half Joe Thompson hat-trick sent Rochdale on the way to a 4-2 win at Aldershot. Keiran Toner added a fourth in first-half injury-time.
Meanwhile, Bradford strolled to a 2-0 victory over 10-man Grimsby, while promotion-chasing Bury came from behind to beat rock-bottom Luton 2-1.
