FA Cup clash set to beat the snow

Published Add your comment

Burnley's FA Cup fourth round replay with West Brom is the most high profile fixture to so far beat the weather.

The Turf Moor encounter is set to go ahead despite heavy snow which has caused other fixtures to be postponed.

The Coca-Cola Championship games at Bristol City, Preston, Sheffield Wednesday, Southampton and leaders Wolves are all still on.

In League One the games at Cheltenham, Crewe, Huddersfield, Northampton, Southend, Stockport and Walsall are all on, with League Two games at Chester, Exeter, Morecambe, Rotherham, Shrewsbury and Wycombe set to go ahead.

However, a number of the games were subject to pitch inspections.

Tuesday's fixtures which were called off on Monday included Arsenal's FA Cup fourth-round replay against Cardiff at the Emirates Stadium.

Tuesday's Coca-Cola Championship games at Crystal Palace and QPR were called off yesterday along with the League One games at Brighton, Carlisle, Leyton Orient, Millwall and Oldham, as well as the League Two games at Aldershot, Dagenham & Redbridge, Lincoln, Luton and Notts County.
