Davies cleared for Seagulls debut

Published Add your comment

Brighton's new signing Craig Davies is free to make his Seagulls debut next week after withdrawing from the Wales squad.

Davies, signed from Oldham for an undisclosed fee earlier this week, was initially included in John Toshack's full Wales squad for Wednesday's friendly with Poland in Portugal.

But the 23-year-old has been cleared to make his Brighton debut against Peterborough at the Withdean Stadium on Tuesday.

Brighton will be without Chris Birchall though. The midfielder is on World Cup qualifying duty with Trinidad & Tobago.
