Doyle on the mend

Published Add your comment

Reading striker Kevin Doyle suffered no after effects from a head injury he sustained in the 0-0 draw with Preston.

Doyle required several minutes of treatment after a heavy collision with North End goalkeeper Andy Lonergan and had to be substituted in the second half.

"I don't remember too much, I was out of it but it wasn't too bad," said Doyle. "We waited until half-time to see and after the break I was probably not even 80% so had to come off."

He added: "The goals aren't flowing for us at the minute but it goes like that and they'll come back."
