Oldham have signed Middlesbrough defender Seb Hines on an initial one-month loan.
The 20-year-old represented England from Under-16 through to Under-19 level but has made just one appearance for Gareth Southgate`s first-team this season.
The versatile defender - who has recently signed a new two-and-a-half-year deal with the Premier League side - was due to join the Latics at the end of the January transfer window but the deal fell victim to a last-minute hitch.
Hines is the third defender to arrive on loan in 2009 following Scott Golbourne and Daniel Jones as manager John Sheridan attempts to bolster their bid for promotion.
