Goalkeeper Stephen Bywater has committed his future to Derby until 2012 after signing a three-year contract extension.
The 27-year-old's previous deal was due to expire at the end of the season but he has ended speculation about his future by putting pen to paper.
"I thank the gaffer and the chairman for getting things done so quickly and professionally," he said.
"I've enjoyed some good times already at Derby but I think we've got even better times ahead.
"We've got a terrific squad of players now and the manager is top-draw. I'm looking forward to playing my part in it."
