Lincoln chairman Steff Wright has defended the club's groundstaff following the postponement of the clash with Darlington at the weekend.
Referee Gavin Ward decided to postpone the clash at Sincil Bank just over an hour before kick-off after being concerned with a frozen part of the pitch just in front of the South Park end.
"They (the groundstaff) had been out on the pitch from 7am with the blowers, but despite working incredibly hard, there was one area of the pitch the referee was unhappy with," Wright told the Lincolnshire Echo. "The ground staff did everything in their power to try to ensure the game went ahead."
He added: "They deserve credit for the amount of grafting they did before it was called off."
